Parking

Parking is available at the Gaylord National Resort — $22 hourly, $46 daily or $70 valet.

There are also many parking lots within walking distance of the Gaylord. The nearest option is St. George Garage, then Mariner Garage, and Fleet Garage. Parking in these garages is $5 for up to 2 hours; $12 for 2–4 hours; and $20 for 4–24 hours.

Taxis and ridesharing

Taxis and rideshare services (Uber, Lyft, etc.) are readily available at all three major airports and throughout the D.C. metro area. Drop-off and pick-up areas are located directly outside the Gaylord’s main entrance.

Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA): Uber, Lyft, and ALTO offer transportation services to and from Reagan National Airport. For rides departing Reagan National, customers should use their smartphone to select the appropriate pickup zone, and coordinate directly with their driver. Green flags located outside on the outer terminal curb designate the appropriate pickup zones.

  • Terminal 1: Customers can meet their ride on the third (outer) curb.
  • Terminal 2: Customers can meet their ride on the Baggage Claim (Arrivals) Level, 1st Floor on the outer curb — select Zone 1 through 4.
  • Rental Car Center: Customers can meet their ride at the designated pickup and drop-off location across from the Rental Car Shuttle Bus shelter located on National Avenue.

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD): For Uber, Lyft, there is a dedicated pickup and drop-off curb.

  • The 3rd curb is located on the ground level outside of Baggage Claim, accessible via Doors 2, 4 or 6.
  • Numbered and lettered zones (3A-3H) make finding your ride easy
  • Customers will be notified of their pickup zone through in-app messaging
  • All all drop-offs will occur at curbs 3 A/B and 3 G/H, with a short walk inside to the escalators up to ticketing.

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI):

  • App-based ride services pick up and drop off passengers along the outer curb of the Departures/Upper Level between Doors #5-12.
  • Crosswalks leading to the outer curb are located near Doors 5, 8 and 12.

Public transportation

Metro: While the National Harbor area is not directly accessible by Washington Metro rail, visitors can take the Metro to Southern Avenue or King Street stations and transfer to a NH2 Metrobus or use rideshare services to complete the trip. 

Bus: The NH2 Metrobus route connects National Harbor with key metro stations and Alexandria, VA.

From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) 
Metro & Bus Combination: Take the Yellow or Blue Line Metro from DCA to King Street–Old Town Station. From there, transfer to the NH2 Metrobus towards National Harbor. Disembark at the St. George Blvd. & Waterfront St. stop, which is a short walk to the resort. This journey takes approximately 50–55 minutes and costs around $5–$6.  

From Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) 
Metro & Bus Combination: From IAD, board the Silver Line Metro to East Falls Church Station. Transfer to the Orange Line towards King Street–Old Town Station. From there, take the NH2 Metrobus to National Harbor. The entire trip takes about 1 hour and 55 minutes and costs between $8–$13. 

From Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) 
Train & Bus Combination: Take the Amtrak or MARC train from BWI to New Carrollton Station. From there, transfer to the A12 Metrobus to Addison Road Station, then the P12 Metrobus to Southern Avenue Station, and finally the NH1 Metrobus to National Harbor. This journey takes approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes.
