Love Moschino for Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day can produce two very different reactions. You either look forward to a day of romance and roses with your loved one, or you want to retreat with a tub of Ben and Jerry’s. But whatever your reaction, it’s a great excuse to buy some Valentine’s-themed clothing – and who doesn’t love that!
Love Moschino usually do some fantastic graphic T-Shirts, and we’re particularly fond of this one. It’s black with a red-lipstick print, which is great for Valentine’s without going overboard. It’s round-necked and long-sleeved – perfect for a chilly Febuary. And its simplicity means it can also be worn all-year round.
But if you want to emphasise your creativity rather than your heart, Love Moschino has the perfect men’s T-shirt. Black and slim-fitting, the printed slogan ‘there is no creativity without chaos’ provides a witty anecdote to all those love hearts and roses.
KEY PIECES… Blazer and Waistcoat
We’ll be totally honest with you – a three-piece suit is not an easy look to pull off. It requires a certain type of physique: slender with good shoulders, and even proportions. If you’re lucky enough to tick these boxes, this Gf Ferre Blazer and Waistcoat will look terrific on you. If not, you could risk looking like Charles Dickens – so try before you buy!
The reasons why this blazer and waistcoat combo works so well are endless. The fabric is catches the light but it is more subtle than a ‘shiny suit’; it is a ‘just-shiny-enough’ suit. The wide stitching on the lapels draw attention to the overall design, and the back-belt fastening adds that extra little detail to make it more memorable. This can of course be worn with black tailored trousers, but we’d love to see it with a simple white T-Shirt, skinny grey jeans and smart shoes.

KEY PIECES… Grey Dolly Coat
Look up at the sky. What do you see? If you’re anywhere near us, you can probably only see clouds. Rain clouds at that! So what do you do? Do you remain depressed until May, or do you use the grey colour palette to your advantage?
We say embrace the subtle tones of the English skyline and pick up this Grey Dolly Coat by Moschino. Isn’t it adorable? I makes rain splatters look like a work of art. The large bow at the neck gives this directional piece a bit of cuteness, but underneath it is still a fabulous, classically tailored mac.
We never thought unpredictable weather would provide inspiration, but this beautiful coat would definitely have us singing in the rain.

Cosmopolitan UK loves Fashionista-outlet too!
Media interest in Fashionista-Outlet.com is growing, and this week we caught the attention of Cosmopolitan magazine. Earlier this week, they featured us on their website, alongside one of our best-selling pieces, the Alexander McQueen Aztec Jumper Dress. Originally priced at£275.40, it costs a mere £109.14 from us.
Cosmopolitan magazine is a fashion institution so we were pleased to have their recommendation.

KEY PIECES… Grey Tweed Jacket
Every gentleman needs a bit of tweed in their life. It’s smart but not too stuffy, and can be dressed up or down. But as smart and refined as it is, there’s something a little more ‘action man’ about this tweed jacket, by #FrankieMorello . Maybe it the numerous pockets, or the Russian pins over the breast pocket. But we could well imagine Daniel Craig in it, pulling out his pen gun and casually taking out the baddies. And any tweed jacket that reminds us of Daniel Craig, has got to be a winner.

KEY PIECES… Silk Evening Dress
At a first glance, you could mistake this Moschino dress for a sensible, knee-length gown; sober and appropriate, with a high neckline. But first impressions can be deceiving. Look a little closer, and its racier nature becomes more apparent.
The black lace is the first clue. It decorates the neckline, bringing the eye down to the bustier, which is where things get even more interesting. The silk corset is just see-through enough to reveal the figure underneath. But not too much – just enough to rouse curiosity.
The skirt is elegant and layered, which balances out the provocative upper body. So, whether you want to play the angel, or be a bit of a devil that night, this dress will represent both sides

WINNER TAKES ALL
Fashionista-Outlet fans will no doubt have seen our £500 feedback competition. Since the beginning of October, we have been blogging, Facebooking and tweeting our followers, asking them to send a brief review of their Fashionista-Oulet experience. All participants were automatically entered into the draw, giving them the chance to win a whopping £500 worth of designer clothing.
On Monday, we chose a winner at random, and that winner was the lovely Eileen Couch.
She was thrilled when our press team contacted her with the good news, saying that she could not believe her luck, having never won a competition of this magnitude before.
After having a look on the website, she wisely chose the Moschino Cheap & Chic Sand Coloured Coat – a classic, and a firm favourite with the Fashionista-Outlet team. She also picked the much-talked-about Moschino Red Tiger Print Dress, and a Roberto Cavalli scarf.
Eileen left the Fashionista-Outlet building a very happy (and stylish) customer.
Eileen tries on the #Moschino Cheap & Chic Sand Coloured Coat, and it’s clearly love at first sight!

Eileen loves the #Moschino coat so much, she wants to wear it now!
Time for a quick photo with FashionistaOT director Myriam Duran.
CONGRATULATIONS to Eileen!

KEY PIECES Shini Woollen Jacket
The humble blazer: a reliable, understated item that can be dressed up or down for any occasion. However, when you have a jacket like this one by Just Cavalli, it has to be the star of the outfit. Anything less would be a crime.
Of course it can be worn for anything from a social event to an interview, but this jacket is a showstopper and must be treated as such. Keep the rest of the outfit simple – let the jacket steel the show.
Continuing the waxed trend, first introduced in 2011, the shiny fabric catches the eye and highlights the exquisite tailoring. And the single-breasted fasten and round neck hints at vintage Chanel. But whether you’re Holly Golightly or Lady GaGa, you need this staple item in your wardrobe for 2012 and beyond.
KEY PIECES: D’Squared-Fitted Suit Jacket
Yes, we know what you’re thinking. It’s pink. And shiny. But don’t be afraid – in the springtime this jacket will make fashion magic.
First of all, pastel shades are going to be huge in 2012. You’ll see less adventurous types tentitively dipping into the trend with a pastel coloured T-shirt, or dock shoes. But if you’re going to do it, you’ve got to commit.
Just picture it; a sherbert-coloured V-neck top underneath the salmon pink jacket, teamed with plaid D’Squared trousers, or even knee-length shorts. It definitely needs to be accessorised, so you could add white summer shoes, and have a little gingham hankerchief poking out of your breast pocket. We would slick back the hair and add glasses for effect; a bit like the characters in The Talented Mr Ripley.
So, if you’re daring and like to try trends first, we’d suggest ordering one of these as soon as possible. You will not find another jacket that portrays this look so accurately.

The return of the flapper girl
With the release of the new Great Gatsby film and the TV series Broadwalk Empire, consumer attention is on the 1920s. It was a decade that turned its back on the austerity of the Victorian era. Instead, focussing on the new society girls and boys that were having all the fun, and changing the way we dressed.
Fashionista-Outlet has a collection of flapper-girl dresses, our favourites being the lilac jumper dress by Alexander McQueen, and the tasselled dress by See by Chloe. We love the playful, flirty elements of the 1920s look but the sharp, directional tailoring means that it still retains high-fashion integrity.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR
KEY PIECES
The 1940s are enjoying a fashion renaissance this year. Marc Jacobs, Galliano and Gucci’s collections are full of post-war glamour, with models styled up to look like Rita Hayworth.
Fashionista-Outlet has the perfect jacket for this look, by Love Moschino. It is nipped in at the waist to show off a feminine figure, and flared at the hips to give your hourglass a little va-va-voom.
With a black pencil skirt and gloves, you will look like you have just stepped off the silver screen.
